I'm Quitting 5&Dime

I've just learned about a new training system that I'm sure will give me better results in less time. It's called: SpeedFit

According to the SpeedFit web site, "Achievement should not be based on the distance you are able to run, but on reducing the amount of time you need to run a shorter distance."

Sounds good to me. This means more 400's and 200's, and less mile repeats, right? Wait, it gets better. The site goes on:

"You can now and forever forget about long distance running for 40, 50, or 60 minutes as a necessary element of your fitness training. The total time you need to maintain your fitness level is a 10 minute workout, but not every day and never exceeding a distance of two miles. Just 1-3 times a week..."

Ten minutes a day, 3 days a week. I'm sold. See ya, Nate.

Don't everyone get sad. You'll still see me around town. I'll be on the streets with the revolutionary SpeedFit training machine. Check it out:

So you'll all still see me out there. In fact, I dare you to ignore me. Track!

I'm hoping some if not all of you will join me. As you can see in the video, we can even share the machine. Ordinary treadmills are boring, but take it outside, put it on wheels, add steering and it's like, well, it's like running on the road! But on a treadmill!

And ignore the fact that the creator of the Speedfit system is suing Jessica Simpson for $10 million. This guy knows what he's talking about.
